Chad Michael Murray’s son seemingly inherited the actor’s natural charm and confidence.
The Freakier Friday star shares three children with his wife Sarah Roemer — a son born in 2015, a daughter born in 2017 and another daughter born in 2023. They famously shield their children from the press so that they can enjoy privacy, and have not shared many details about them over the years.
During a Tuesday, July 29, appearance on Good Morning America, Murray, 43, opened up about his kids and shared some specific details about his charismatic son. In particular, he implied that his son is a bit of a ladies’ man.

“He is so confident when he speaks to women,” the One Tree Hill alum shared, adding that he has a photo of his son sitting with “four or five college girls” from when he went to the University of Florida for an appearance.
“It’s just him sitting with these four or five college girls, and they’re just chatting him up,” he said, adding that his son “followed me around the whole night at the premiere.”
Though he described it as a “no-no,” Murray also laughingly recalled an experience where his son used his dad’s star power to speak to a group of girls on the beach in Puerto Rico.
“The kids have become accustomed to meeting people in public, and I’m somebody who… What a blessing to be able to make someone happy with something as simple as a photograph or an autograph. So I take pictures with people in public all the time,” Murray said, adding that his son “knows that demographic” that is interested.
He continued, sharing, “I wasn’t there, and he’s at the beach. And he sees these girls… Younger girls in bikinis, and he walks over and he goes, ‘My dad’s Chad Michael Murray. I thought you might want to, you know, get a photo with him.'”
“Oh no, no, no. Buddy,” Murray said with a laugh.
Murray credited some of his son’s natural charm to the fact that he plays football.
“He just sits there, and he’s not doing it for the attention. But he loves that people want to talk about the sport and that he can get them going,” he said.

Referring to their children as “our little doppelgängers,” Murray said that they “had the time of their lives” making “their grand debut” on the red carpet at the recent premiere of Freakier Friday.
“That was the first kind of time ever in the public eye. We’ve always kept their names and their faces out of everything. We just keep them very close. That’s my pack. They travel everywhere with us,” he raved about the bond.
As for their thoughts on seeing their dad on the big screen, Murray made it clear that they enjoyed it.
“They loved the film. Laughing out loud loved the film,” he shared.
