90’s Folk-Rock Legend, 64, Blows Fans Away With Wildly Energetic Performance originally appeared on Parade.
Some people age like a fine wine, others age like they drank from the Fountain of Youth. For folk-rock singer, songwriter and guitarist Melissa Etheridge, 64, she has somehow managed to age like both.
The musician has hardly slowed down since she burst onto the scene in the early ’90s with her raspy voice on her 1993 album Yes I Am. Her style has always blended a fusion of her country, folk, rock and blues influences, making her not only a talented artist but a passionate performer.
Recently at a Red Rocks show with the Indigo Girls, Etheridge put that passion on full display with a wriggling, writhing solo that left fans slack-jawed.
Is a smooth transition we watch Etheridge roll around with her guitar without missing a single note. The entire thing surprised so many folks.
“We were all impressed that she was able stand up without help,” joked one fan.
“I know she had to be exhausted!! You never disappoint Melissa,” complimented another.
“Was there. She absolutely left it all on the stage. She was incredibly passionate!! Thank you Melissa,” proclaimed another fan.
Despite the many trials and tribulation the singer faced, including losing her son, Etheridge has always put her heart and soul into her music and performance. Recently she released a two-part live album and docuseries entitled “Melissa Etheridge: I’m Not Broken” which was recorded at Topeka Correctional Facility

Upcoming Melissa Etheridge Shows
Melissa Etheridge is currently on the “Yes We Are Tour” with the Indigo girls. Currently the show is hitting up the West Coast until early August where it will make its way across the country to the East Coast by Late August. The tour officially wraps up on October 12, the last show will be in Phoenix Arizona
