Ozzy Osbourne’s Family Silent After His Death – Haven’t ‘Been Responsive to Calls’ originally appeared on Parade.

The Osbourne family is struggling to cope after losing rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away on Tuesday, July 22, at age 76.

While the family had witnessed his health complications over the years, the sudden loss of the heavy metal icon has left them unprepared and struggling to navigate with their grief.

Sources close to the Osbourne family reveal exclusively to Parade that the legendary musician’s loved ones remain in deep mourning.

“The family hasn’t been responsive to calls or texts, even from those closest to them since Ozzy’s death,” our insider shares. “They are so devastated by his loss and taking it hard.”

The Black Sabbath frontman’s death has prompted heartfelt tributes from family members who are publicly expressing their pain.

Kelly Osbourne, 40, honored her father’s memory just two days after his passing. On Thursday, July 24, she shared lyrics from the Black Sabbath song “Changes” to her Instagram Stories, referencing the duet she recorded with her dad in 2003.

“I feel unhappy I am so sad,” Kelly reportedly wrote, adding, “I lost the best friend I ever had.”

The family of the “Prince of Darkness” released an official statement confirming his passing, signed by Sharon Osbourne and some of their children, on the morning of his death.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,” the joint statement read.

Ozzy’s final years came with significant health challenges, including his 2003 Parkinson’s diagnosis, which he revealed in 2020.

Earlier this year, the heavy metal pioneer announced his retirement, setting the stage for what would become his final concert just weeks before his passing.

Though intended as a farewell, the performance became an unexpected tribute to his legendary career — a moment no one realized would mark the end of an era so soon.

Parade has reached out to the Osbourne family for comment.
