Prince William had a goal-worthy father-daughter outing with Princess Charlotte at the 2025 Women’s Euro finals.
William, 43, attended the UEFA European Women’s Championship matchup between England and Spain on Sunday, July 27. The Prince of Wales looked dapper in a black suit, entering Switzerland’s St. Jakob-Park alongside his 10-year-old daughter. Charlotte, for her part, looked adorable in a navy, polka dot ruffled dress. (William shares Charlotte, along with sons Prince George and Prince Louis, with his wife, Princess Kate Middleton.)
“Let’s go, @lionesses! 🏴,” a post on William and Kate’s official Instagram account read, sharing a photo of the princess and his daughter before they took their seats.
Just before the game, William was ecstatic to learn that England would compete in the finals.

“Good luck to the Lionesses tomorrow,” he wrote via his Instagram Stories on Saturday, July 26. “The nation is so proud you are through to the final after some stunning comebacks! We are all cheering you on!”
Charlotte is equally a big fan of the British women’s soccer team, even sending her best wishes for success during the 2023 World Cup.
“Lionesses, we want to send you a huge good luck for tomorrow,” William said in an August 2023 video. “We’re sorry we can’t be there in person, but we’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved and the millions you’ve inspired here and around the world. So, go out there tomorrow and really enjoy yourselves!”
In the clip, Charlotte balanced a soccer ball on her knee before adding, “Good luck, Lionesses.”

William previously watched the Lionesses compete in the 2022 UEFA Women’s Euro Final, getting to meet the athletes afterward.
“Charlotte wanted me to tell you that she is really good at goal,” William told the team at the time. “She said, ‘Please tell them that.’ She’s a budding star for the future.”
While Charlotte has followed in her dad’s sporty footsteps, he’s not pushing her or her brothers to follow his own team allegiances.
“I’m letting him choose his own way. It’s about finding what fits for him,” William previously said during an appearance on “That Peter Crouch Podcast” in July 2020, specifically referring to George, now 12. “I do like the values and the ethos of the [Aston Villa] club. I want them to look after the players and set a good example to the young fans. I want our children, when they go to the match, to come away loving what they’ve seen, enjoying it and seeing their role models behave in a way that we’d all want them to.”
William and Kate’s children also keep up with other sporting endeavors, too. Charlotte and George recently joined their parents at the Wimbledon men’s singles final earlier in July, where they got to meet champion Jannik Sinner post-victory.
