Jessica Simpson has no problem rolling with the punches!
The pop superstar, 45, was a recent guest on an episode of the Today Show’s Jenna & Friends, where she sat down to discuss everything from her most recent EP Nashville Canyon, Pt. 1 to her fashion line, the Jessica Simpson Collection, to her life with her three kids, daughters Maxwell and Birdie and son, Ace.
She also performed a variety of new songs and old hits for fans on the outdoor Summer Concert stage in New York City’s Rockefeller Plaza, but not everything went quite to plan. While singing a medley of early smashes “I Think I’m in Love with You” and “With You,” the multi-talented songstress suffered a minor wardrobe malfunction as the corset-styled dress she was wearing appeared to slip down on one side, revealing the top portion of her pink-colored bra. Luckily, Simpson is a professional at keeping her cool during unplanned beauty blunders, and the mishap was barely noticeable underneath her silver fringe jacket and long layered locks.
A fan video posted on TikTok shows the surprise lingerie debacle, but it was Simpson’s reaction afterward that truly proved just how well she’s able to handle unexpected situations on the fly.
“Of course, I have, like, a malfunction here and everywhere,” Simpson noted with a laugh during the Wednesday, July 23, episode, following the performance. “But it’s OK. I think my boob stayed in, so that’s good!”
Simpson’s Nashville Canyon, Pt. 1 serves as her first musical project in 15 years. Fans can expect her to release Nashville Canyon, Pt. 2 in September 2025.
