Beloved ‘Virgin River’ Actor to Star in New Holiday Film Alongside ’90s Sitcom Icon originally appeared on Parade.
Ben Hollingsworth has the perfect present for his fans this holiday season.
On Friday, July 25, the beloved Virgin River actor delighted fans while announcing that he will be starring in a new holiday movie alongside none other than ’90s TV icon Kelsey Grammer.

Hollingsworth, 40, shared the news in an Instagram video on Friday, where he personally announced to his followers, “I’m doing a Christmas movie!”
He continued to gush about the new project in the rest of the clip, noting that he gets to work with some “amazing actors” on the movie, including Grammer, 70, as well as country singer and One Tree Hill alum, Jana Kramer.

The new film—coming out in theaters later this year—is based off of Karen Kingsbury‘s book “The Christmas Ring,” which will be released just weeks before the movie hits theaters.
Adding that he is “very excited” for the movie to come out in November, Hollingsworth told his followers to “mark it off” on the calendars to see the film when it releases just in time for the holiday season.
“This one’s timeless,” he further gushed. “You’ll be able to watch it for many Christmases to come.
The Christmas Ring will begin playing in theaters on Nov. 6, 2025.
