Just like her roles in Pride and Prejudice and Love Actually, Keira Knightley’s style is timeless. This Sunday, the actor and her husband, James Righton, traveled to Paris for the lavish summer ball at MAD, and coordinated in black-tie looks.
Knightley was lovely in a white floor-length dress by Chanel embellished with silver stitching all over. The piece had a sharp inky-black collar, side pockets, and circular silver buttons adorned with white small pearls.
She wore the work of art with silver heels with black points, and a quilted black leather crossbody bag with a chain strap, also from Chanel. For jewelry, Knightley shimmered in diamond chandelier earrings and a massive diamond ring.
In true Chanel cool girl style, she wore her hair in a wavy bob and had on minimal makeup save for a glossy black manicure.
Righton matched his wife in a black tuxedo with a white shirt and a silky black bowtie. He styled the suit look with black leather loafers with golden hardware, oversize black shades, and a golden bracelet.
The Musée des Arts Décoratifs’s Le Bal d’Été, masterminded by Sofia Coppola, boasted a starry guest list which included Kirsten Dunst, Penélope Cruz, Zac Posen, Christian Louboutin, and Giambattista Valli, among many others.
The fundraiser gala marked the start of Couture Week, as well as the centenary of the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts. Proceeds from the evening will go toward supporting the exhibition 1925–2025: One Hundred Years of Art Deco, which opens on October 22.
Haute Couture Week runs from July 7th to the 10th in Paris.
