Zac Brown had a big surprise in store for one of his biggest fans: Love on the Spectrum‘s Madison Marilla!
While performing during the Today show’s annual Citi Concert Series, Brown, 46, and host Al Roker invited Marilla up on stage after chatting with her family about her love for the country star (and exchanging some adorable friendship bracelets with Roker).
Brown spoke about wanting to invite Marilla to a concert after hearing her and her boyfriend, Tyler White, bond over their love for his music. To that, Marilla told the musician that she had been wanting to attend one of his shows for years.
“So good to meet you,” Brown told the Netflix star. “My family loves the show, and we got to see you and Tyler on there, mentioning us.”
“I’m a huge fan,” Marilla shared. “I always wanted to see you in concert. ‘Chicken Fried’ and ‘Toes’ are my favorites.”
“We’d love to host you anytime you can come out,” Brown replied.
After their brief chat, Marilla then broke out into song and showed off some of her vocal prowess as she serenaded Brown with his hit songs “Chicken Fried” and “Toes,” which features the lyric, “I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand.”
Soon after she began singing the track, Roker cut in to thank the Netflix star and wrap up the segment, as Brown laughed at the adorable interaction.
“Tell Tyler we said hello, too!” Brown added.

Madison in episode 301 of ‘Love on the Spectrum.’
Marilla was first introduced on season 3 of Love on the Spectrum as a 26-year-old from Tampa, Fla., who was “looking to find a companion.”
As she and White began dating, the couple bonded over their love for country music — especially Zac Brown. By the end of the season, Madison introduced Tyler to her family, and he asked for their permission to take her to Universal Studios.
The end credits revealed that the pair’s love story continues, and Madison shared her own update on Instagram days after the season aired. Alongside videos of the pair taken since filming wrapped, she wrote that she was “very happy” to have found her “cowboy sweetheart.”
“Tyler and I are still together and still in love,” she captioned the post. “We have been going on dates every weekend since the show stopped filming!! We celebrated both our birthdays, Halloween, Christmas, and Valentines Day together. We love going on big rollercoasters and to the movies together.”
“Despite our opposite personalities, like him being more spontaneous and me being more of a planner we have learned to compromise,” she added at the time. “Most importantly, I have met someone who shares my same values.”

The couple is still dating today. Just last week, Marilla shared a sweet post on Instagram celebrating her boyfriend’s birthday.
