Jimmy Fallon Sends Strong Message To Billy Joel – ‘I Love Him’ originally appeared on Parade.
Jimmy Fallon recently gave his good friend Billy Joel a shoutout on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night.
During Thursday’s episode’s cold open, Fallon gave his audience a documentary recommendation for the upcoming weekend. He admitted that he was watching Joel’s newest documentary, Billy Joel: And So It Goes, and that “it is phenomenal.” The first part of the series came out on July 18, and the second part was released on Friday.
“He’s so funny. The way he talks about everything, but also everything he’s gone through. He’s honest. But it shows him joining a band in Long Island and becoming Billy Joel,” Fallon explained. “He says everything.”
In May, the “Vienna” singer announced on Instagram that he was canceling his upcoming shows because he was diagnosed with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH), a condition where excess cerebrospinal fluid builds up in the brain’s ventricles.
“I love him, I know him. I love his kids, I love his wife, I love him,” the late-night talk show host continued. “If you need something to watch, check out Billy Joel’s new documentary.”
