Chase Chrisley Pursues Sobriety Following Arrest In Atlanta

Reality TV star Chase Chrisley recently opened up about his sobriety journey following his shocking arrest for battery in Atlanta, Georgia.

Chase Chrisley’s alcohol-free lifestyle seemingly stems from the public scrutiny that came following his alleged role in a disturbance that occurred in an Atlanta restaurant. Following the reports, Chase blasted the bar manager for blowing the news out of proportion before saying he was being lied about because of his celebrity status.

On Instagram, Chase, whose parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, are incarcerated for tax and fraud charges, opened up about how great his life has been since he stopped consuming alcohol.

“Almost one month alcohol free,” the reality star wrote in the caption of a post. “Feeling better than I have in years. God is good.”

The image was a selfie of Chase smiling into the camera while wearing a Municipal Sport Utility Gear hat.

Chase received tons of praise from his supporters in the comment section.

“Amen. Proud of you, dude,” someone wrote.

Another user chimed in, agreeing with Chase’s assertion that living a sober life changes the way you feel.

“It’s amazing the difference you feel even after a month,” they wrote. “Congratulations, and keep up the good work. The struggle is real!”

Chase’s revelation arrives several months after the reality star made headlines for allegedly assaulting a bar manager at “Twin Peaks” in Atlanta.

The Blast previously reported about the 911 call the establishment’s manager, Brandon Nash, made, alleging there was a patron, presumably Chase, displaying “aggressive” and drunk behavior. Nash claimed he was assaulted earlier with a chair before saying the TV personality slapped him.

Chase left the bar before police arrived on the scene; however, law enforcement caught up with him days later and arrested him for simple battery. He was later released on $10,000 bond.

After Chase’s arrest and release, he reflected on the incident during an interview and blasted Nash for blowing the situation “out of proportion.”

“I didn’t slap that dude in Atlanta,” he said. “That didn’t happen. If I was [going to] put my hand on somebody, I would get my money’s worth. I wouldn’t just get a slap.”

Chase later admitted to provoking the situation by “talking sh-t;” however, he continued to deny the claims he assaulted the bar employee.

“I didn’t put my hands on him,” he said before blaming the incident on his last name. “If I wasn’t who I was, that wouldn’t have been a situation,” he added.

Years prior to Chase’s legal woes, his parents, Todd and Julie, were convicted by a federal jury of bank and tax fraud offenses.

They were sentenced to 12 and seven years, respectively, and reported to prison in January 2023.

“Over the course of a decade, the defendants defrauded banks out of tens of millions of dollars while evading payment of their federal income taxes,” said U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan. “Their lengthy sentences reflect the magnitude of their criminal scheme and should serve as a warning to others tempted to exploit our nation’s community banking system for unlawful personal gain.”

Todd and Julie’s children, specifically their daughter Savannah Chrisley, have been outspoken about how they feel the justice system failed their family during their parents’ trial.

Chase has also discussed their legal situation and said his family was “targeted” by the government before calling it “bullsh-t.”

He continued, “Obviously, our system is very corrupt and very broke. I know there wasn’t any truth to it because my dad didn’t have to steal any money.”

Additionally, Chase has detailed how difficult it’s been for him and his sister to see his parents living in such rough conditions.

“They got like black mold [where my dad is], and my mom’s place is even worse. I mean, she doesn’t even have air conditioning. They’re in a camp. It’s better than being behind a wall,” he said.

Todd echoed Chase’s claims during an episode of NewsNation with Chris Cuomo, describing his facility as “so disgustingly filthy.”
