Steve Aoki Is a Dad! DJ Welcomes His First Baby Boy With Wife Sasha: ‘We’re So in Love With Him Already’

Steve Aoki is a father!

On Friday, July 25, the DJ and producer, 47, welcomed his first child, a baby boy, with his wife Sasha. The couple announced the news in a joint Instagram post alongside a photo of the newborn’s feet with the hospital tag still around his tiny ankle.

“Rocky77 has arrived! We’re so in love with him already ❤️,” the parents captioned the post.

“Even more special is that we get to celebrate our son’s birth on the same day as our wedding anniversary,” they said. “Surprise arrival he came out on his own time already writing his first chapter of life. Let the adventures begin! ❤️❤️”

Aoki and Sasha, who tied the knot in 2024, announced their “biggest collaboration yet” during his Jan. 25 concert at Barasti Beach in Dubai.

“This is a special moment. This is my wife, and we’re having a baby,” the EDM musician said as Sasha appeared on stage.

After the stage crew brought out a white sheet cake, the DJ then revealed that together they were “going to find out if it’s a boy or if it’s a girl.”

Sasha proceeded to smash the cake — which was decorated with “Aoki” spelled out in alternating blue and pink letters — on her husband’s face as blue confetti and smoke filled the air, signaling that the couple was going to have a boy.

“It’s a boy,” text read on-screen behind the pair as they shared a kiss, with Aoki getting some frosting on Sasha’s face in the process. Shortly afterward, the DJ inspired another loud cheer from the crowd by yelling, “We’re having a boy!”

He then turned to whoever was filming the gender reveal for his Instagram, saying, “It’s a boy.” Smiling with blue cake icing all over his face, “We have a little boy,” he added.

“The most important cake of my life….. IT’S A BOY @sashaaoki 💙👶🎂,” the DJ captioned the Instagram post.

At the time, the expectant mom also shared footage of the reveal in an Instagram post of her own. “Our biggest collaboration yet,” she wrote in the caption. “Baby Aoki loading @steveaoki #genderreveal #babyboy 🧿💙.”

“The best mom right here,” Aoki commented on the post.

After revealing that she and the DJ were expecting their first child together, Sasha shared several other glimpses into her pregnancy, often imbued with the couple’s shared sense of humor.

Alongside snaps of herself showing off her growing belly at Coachella in April, the then-mom-to-be wrote, “My plus one is kicking. Literally.”

In May, she shared a video of her belly as she stood behind Aoki in the DJ booth, and joked, “Who needs lullabies when you’ve got daddy’s epic drops.” In the caption, she added, “EDM = early development music,” while Aoki commented, “Training him young ❤️.”

In June, Sasha shared another clip of herself showing off her baby bump at one of Aoki’s shows, and punned: “Be a housewife, they said. didn’t realize I’d take it literally.”
