Ozzy Osbourne’s Chilling Death Admission Resurfaces originally appeared on Parade.

Just weeks after reuniting with his Black Sabbath bandmates for a final live performance, Ozzy Osbourne died surrounded by his loved ones. But long before his death, the rock icon spoke openly about his mortality. In a candid interview, the heavy metal legend didn’t hold back when reflecting on what it meant to face the end of his life after revealing a Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis.

In 2020, Osbourne told Kerrang! that while he thought about death, he didn’t “worry” about it. He admitted, “Do I ever think about when my time’s gonna come? I think about it; I don’t worry about it.”

He added, “I won’t be here in another 15 years or whatever, not that much longer, but I don’t dwell on it. It’s gonna happen to us all.”

The late Prince of Darkness concluded, “Am I happy now? No. I haven’t got my health.”

“But I’m still here. In fact, I worried about [death] more when I was younger than I do now. I just try to enjoy things as much as possible, even though that’s so hard sometimes.”

In 2019, Osbourne postponed his scheduled No More Tours II world tour after he was hospitalized with pneumonia. While completing his recovery at home, the singer fell, injuring his back, neck, and shoulders.

In January 2020, he revealed to the world he had Parkinson’s Disease. Joined by wife Sharon Osbourne, on Good Morning America, the entertainer clarified rumors circulating about his health.

Ozzy said: “I’m no good with secrets. I cannot walk around with it anymore ’cause it’s like I’m running out of excuses, you know?”

He added that he was grateful to the fans who stood by him since he founded Black Sabbath alongside Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. “They’re my air, you know. I feel better. I’ve owned up to the fact that I have… a case of Parkinson’s. And I just hope they hang on and they’re there for me because I need them.”
