Ozzy Osbourne Once Shared a Haunting Sentiment About His Death and It All But Came True originally appeared on Parade.

Two years before his death at the age of 76, Ozzy Osbourne all but predicted when he would die while ruminating on the send-off concert that would come to be known as Back to the Beginning.

In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2023, while adamantly denying retirement rumors that followed a series of concert and other appearance cancellations relating to his declining health, the “Crazy Train” singer revealed that he was hoping a time would come when he was back on his feet enough to perform one final show for his fans.

“I just want to be well enough to do one show where I can say, ‘Hi guys, thanks so much for my life,’” he told the publication. “That’s what I’m working towards, and if I drop down dead at the end of it, I’ll die a happy man.”

While the singer did not “drop down dead” on stage on July 5, where he left fans in tears with his final live performance while a slew of fellow legends performed in tribute to him, his death comes less than three weeks after the fact, leading us to believe that, haunting though it may seem, his prediction came true and he likely did “die a happy man.”
