The catsuit Freddie Mercury wore while performing this power song for the music video sold for more than $200,000 at auction, undoubtedly to a devoted fan who slips it on to sing the tune in the mirror.

There are several iconic apparel items associated with Michael Jackson, but one of the most notable is his crystal-studded glove. This singular, sparkly glove sold for more than $100,000 at auction.
3. Elvis Presley’s ‘Black Conquistador’ Belt

If we’re talking about legendary rockstars’ clothes, Elvis is usually at the helm of the conversation. He was known for quite a few iconic looks, and his white and black “conquistador” outfits were some of his most recognizable. The belt that the King wore with his black conquistador outfit was so sought after that it sold for nearly $100,000 at auction.
4. Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’ Motorcycle Jacket
Sold for: $90,000
Not to be confused with his vivacious violet jacket, this motorcycle jacket was worn by Prince during one of the scenes from the beloved “Purple Rain” movie. Because of its distinction, the jacket raked in nearly $100,000 at auction.
5. John Lennon’s Reading Glasses
Sold for: $57,500
You wouldn’t doodle a picture of John Lennon without his notorious round-rimmed glasses. A pair of Lennon’s statement spectacles from 1973 sold at auction for nearly $60,000.
6. Elvis Presley’s Sweatshirt
Sold for: $56,750
Elvis was known for wearing things with his initials scribed on them, and one of his favorites was a white zip-up sweatshirt with the statement scrolled “EP” on the chest, which sold for almost $60,000 at auction.
7. Jimi Hendrix’s Velvet Vest
Sold for: $43,750
Jimi Hendrix had plenty of groovy gear throughout his career. This long, velvet, patterned vest was one of his most recognizable, leading to its high price at auction.
8. Elton John’s Versace Blazer and Hat
Sold for: $27,500
Elton John wore this iconic purple patterned suit and hat on the red carpet at the 1991 Planet Hollywood launch party, holding hands with the Donatella Versace. Fashionistas and Elton John fanatics alike could see the value of this ensemble, with the winning bidder shelling out almost $28,000 for the blazer and hat.
9. Mick Jagger’s Jumpsuit
Sold for: $25,000
Mick Jagger was known for his undeniable swagger. One of his most coveted looks was a white, studded, lace-up jumpsuit that sold for a whopping $25,000 at auction.

It doesn’t get much cooler than Bruce Springsteen’s leather jacket. If you needed proof, this one sold for almost $20,000 at auction.
11. Kurt Cobain’s Hand-Patched Jeans
Sold for: $412,750
The distressed jeans that Kurt Cobain wore in the music video for Nirvana’s 1993 hit “Heart-shaped Box” sold for a cool $412,750 in 2023. Aside from having a famous owner, the jeans are special in that they have personalized patches sewn on to them, some with designs from Cobain’s friends like musician Lori Barbero.
