Kelly’s daughter Erin welcomed her first baby with husband Parker
Jim Kelly’s family is going through a difficult time.
The former Buffalo Bills quarterback, 65, posted a statement on Instagram on Monday, July 14, revealing that his daughter Erin had welcomed her first baby, a son, with husband Parker. While Kelly explained that it was a time of “deep joy” for their family, it has also “come with unexpected medical complications.”
At the time, the statement said the family wouldn’t share additional details, and was relying on their “faith in God, the strength of their love and the unwavering support of those closest to them” to get through this tough moment.
A few days later, on Tuesday, July 15, Kelly shared an update on his grandson, noting that he would be undergoing a procedure on Wednesday, July 16.

“Little Brave Bean’s procedure is scheduled for 7am tomorrow morning,” Kelly wrote in his caption of a joint post with his wife, Jill Kelly. “He is so strong and courageous. And his life has already changed our lives forever.”
“Erin and Parker have asked that we do not share his most beautiful name yet with the public, because they still want to announce him to the world,” they continued. “And especially to those of you who have been praying fervently for our miracle Bean.”
They went on to say that they know they aren’t the only ones watching this “heart-wrenching situation” and that they’re aware life can change “drastically” in an instant.
“We just want you to know that we’re sharing this because we want to remind you too, that YOU ARE NOT ALONE,” they concluded the caption.
Back in February, Kelly and his wife first shared that they were going to become grandparents with a post on Instagram. In the carousel of photos, Erin and her husband Parker could be seen holding up a series of sonogram images and smiling.
“We finally get to share the amazing news…we’re going to be GRANDPARENTS ❤️ (Insert crying and overwhelming joy and excitement!),” they wrote in their caption. “Our firstborn is having her firstborn!!!”
“We love you so much already little baby Bean. ❤️ God is AMAZING!”
