Comedian Kareem Rahma, in a resurfaced March interview, detailed a strange interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris that went so badly that he didn’t release it.

Rahma received an opportunity to interview Harris on his “Subway Takes” show in August 2024, The New York Times reported in November 2024. Rahma, on “Forbes Top Creators Show,” said Harris’ take for the show was terrible so he and her team agreed they should not post it. (Stream The Daily Caller’s Documentary Cleaning Up Kamala HERE)

“Her take was really confusing and weird and not good. And so we mutually agreed that we shouldn’t publish it,” Rahma said. “And I got lucky because I didn’t want to be blamed for her losing.”

Forbes editor Steve Bertoni, who posted a clip of the interview to his TikTok account on Monday, asked if Harris’ take was actually “that bad.”

Rahma responded that her take was “really, really bad” and “didn’t make any sense.” He said her take was that “bacon is a spice.”

“You think that was her opinion or you think she had like a research group trying to figure something?” Bertoni asked.

Rahma said he believed a “research group” was responsible for the take.

“Because originally the take that I was pitched was great, and it was that she does not like to take her shoes off on airplanes,” the comedian explained. “And I was like, ‘100% disagree. You better be taking the shoes off.’”

“At the last minute I think a research group said, ‘This makes you look rich and snobby and you need to appeal to the American people. So she went with the bacon,” he continued. “And I tried to pause the interview and say, ‘Trust me, we shouldn’t do the bacon thing.’ And I was overrided by this guy who was maybe her deputy campaign manager or something. He said, ‘We’re doing bacon.’ I said, ‘All right, we’ll do bacon.’ And then an hour later I got a call that said, ‘We can’t do bacon.’ I said, ‘I know you can’t do bacon.’ But then I tried to cut it into something else. It just wasn’t working.”

Rahma further explained how the interview did not pan out.

“First they rode the bacon. Then they overrode the bacon. Then I tried to override their override by saying, ‘I didn’t just do all this work for no reason. I’m gonna make it work.’ And then I did make it work,” he said. “And then they were like, ‘This makes her look —’ And I said, ‘Whose fault is that?’ And then I was like, ‘If I post this, a lot of people are going to be mad at me. If I don’t post it, I still have a cool photograph with Kamala Harris.”

Political pundits warned during Harris’ short 2024 presidential campaign that her habit of verbal word salads could present a liability. The former vice president lost all seven battleground states and the national popular vote to President Donald Trump.

Harris’ personal office did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
