And on Tuesday, July 1, the fashion icon gave her stylish outfits an on-trend beauty accompaniment, swapping out her signature dark brown hair for a quiet luxury-coded blonde.

Wang, who recently donned a platinum blonde wig at a 2025 BAFTAs party, looked unrecognizable as she debuted an old money blonde dye job in Paris. The designer, who recently celebrated her 76th birthday in the City of Light, posed in her hotel room while showing off a brand new golden-blonde hue with slightly darker brown roots—a seeming nod to fellow old money blonde-loving stars like Margot Robbie, Sofia Richie, and Blake Lively.

While the warm blonde hue was a first for Wang, she styled the new color in the same middle-parted, sleek and straight style that’s become her signature. In true Vera form, the designer had a bold sartorial pairing to complement her new hair color. She posed in a floor-length black Rick Owens skirt, which featured structural ruffles running down the sides. A barely-there black sleeveless crop top that was held together with black strings subtly flashed her midriff. A pair of sky-high ankle-length black booties finished off her chic ensemble.

Wang’s new blonde look might be in keeping with summer’s trendiest hair colors, but it’s possible it’s a wig as the star stepped out the day before in Paris with her dark brown hair and a Sex and the City-inspired skirt trend. Wang gave fans a glimpse at her shopping outfit for Prada, which included a low-rise midi-length black skirt that was attached to a black leather belt that hovered over her bare waistline—a nod to a similar styling once worn by Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw.

Wang’s accessory was held in place by two silver chains that were attached to the skirt. A black long-sleeved crop top, aviator sunglasses, a black headband, booties, and a tiny black clutch finished off the designer’s outfit.
