Well, that’s the pits.
Brad Pitt’s home in the hip Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles was burglarized Wednesday, while the Oscar-winning actor was away, the Los Angeles Police Department confirms to Entertainment Weekly.
The incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. local time. Three suspects broke in via the front window, ransacked the location, and fled with miscellaneous property, police tell EW.
The burglary is under investigation.

The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor purchased the home from oil heiress Aileen Getty for $5.5 million in April 2023, according to The Daily Mail. The outlet noted that the three-bedroom home was known as the “Steel House,” and it featured a pool, hot tub, and sauna, along with sweeping views of the city.
Pitt has recently been documented promoting his new F1: The Movie, in which he plays Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula 1 driver who makes a comeback to mentor a rookie, played by Damson Idris. The action flick, which arrives in theaters Friday, also costars Javier Bardem and Kerry Condon.
It’s unclear whether the perpetrators knew whose home they were burglarizing, as in the case of the infamous Bling Ring, which targeted celebrities that were known not be home, whether through paparazzi photos or social media.
Pitt is known for having multiple real estate properties, including several in California.

In his latest action film, the Fight Club star actually got behind the wheel on the racetrack. And he did an impressive job, as director Joseph Kosinski told Entertainment Weekly.

“Brad and Damson both proved themselves to be extremely skilled,” Kosinski said. “We surrounded them with a team of professionals. The cars were FIA-approved cars, so they have the same crash structure as a Formula One car, so they’re very safe. But there were a couple moments when both Brad and Damson were pushing the cars to the limit and had some spins.”
The director noted that, although both men ended up OK, the experience was “a little scary.”
