Zara Tindall has had a busy social calendar this summer already. The former Olympic equestrian spent several days last week at the Ascot Racecourse for the annual Royal Ascot with the rest of the royal family, one of the liveliest and most fashionable events on the annual diary.
On Sunday, Zara followed up the Ascot with the Royal Windsor Cup Final, taking on an important role that was once held by her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. The match is considered one of the top five polo tournaments in the world.
Celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, Zara presented the trophy to the winning team in the tournament, as her grandmother did for many years at the Guards Polo Club in Egham, approximately 20 miles west of London. The club itself was founded in 1955, and Zara’s grandfather, Prince Philip, was its first president. He held the role for 66 years until his death in 2021. King Charles succeeded his father as the club president in early 2024.
Queen Elizabeth last attended the Royal Windsor Cup Final in 2021, and she was hard to miss in one of her bright signature shades of green. Presenting at the awards ceremony for the first time, Zara’s look was decidedly more casual but still very chic for summer.
