Variety Announces Screening Series Commemorating 120th Anniversary

This summer, Variety will host a 120 Screening Series in honor of its 120th anniversary, presented in Laser by Barco, showcasing 10 films that have shaped the last 120 years of storytelling. Each screening will be followed by a conversation with filmmakers, either involved in the featured film or creatively inspired by it, moderated by Variety senior artisans editor Jazz Tangcay.

Variety will host the screenings weekly on Thursdays at Soho House West Hollywood in its Laser-equipped theatre for an audience of industry insiders and entertainment enthusiasts. All selections were pulled from Variety’s top 10 selections from its ranking of the 100 greatest movies of all time. The film schedule is as follows:

Variety, founded in 1905 by Sime Silverman, has been a pillar of the entertainment industry since its inception.
