After a hard-fought series against the Indiana Pacers, the Oklahoma City Thunder are NBA champions. How will the team celebrate its first championship since moving to the city? A parade, of course.

Fans are expected to show up in droves to support the team as it parades through the Oklahoma City streets. Here’s everything you need to know about the Thunder parade ahead of Tuesday’s celebration.

Oklahoma City Thunder parade date, time

The Thunder parade will take place Tuesday, June 24 at 11:30 a.m. ET. It is expected to last roughly 90 minutes.

In preparation for the parade, the city started blocking off roads Monday morning. Oklahoma City expects a large crowd at the event, and City Manager Craig Freeman said attendees should be prepared to walk long distances and should “bring refillable water bottles and packaged food or snacks” to make it through the day, per KFOR in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma City Thunder parade route

The parade will begin at the intersection of NW 10th Street and N. Harvey Avenue. It will travel down N. Harvey Avenue until it hits NW 5th Street. The parade will then turn down NW 5th Street until it reaches N. Walker Avenue. That will make up the longest stretch of the event. The parade will run down N. Walker Avenue, though Bicentennial Park, until it reaches SW 3rd Street. It will proceed down SW 3rd Street until N. Robinson Avenue, where the event will end near Scissortail Park.

How to watch the Oklahoma City Thunder parade

Before the parade starts, the team will hold an event at Paycom Center. That event won’t be available to the public, but will air on local news channels, on the team’s app and on the team’s YouTube channel, per The Oklahoman.
