Halsey left fans feeling more than impressed after a recent performance of their For My Last Trick tour, after they jumped to the rescue to save one of their crew members from becoming one with the pyrotechnics display.
The “Gasoline” singer was a true blue hero in a new clip uploaded to TikTok on Sunday, June 15, taken during the tour’s June 14 stop in Pittsburgh, where they were seen crouched on the stage while singing their hit “Without Me.”
As they finished up the line, “I had to go and find out from them, whoa,” their eyes darted to the cameraman standing nearby on stage, whose feed was connected to the giant screens projecting the show to those in the back. Halsey moved the mic away from their mouth and told the camera operator to “get out of the way!” while waving their hands to emphasize the message.
They started the next line, getting just two words out before realizing that the crew member was not moving. “Tell me,” they sang before springing to their feet and rushing toward him, shouting, “No, there-there’s pyro coming! Move!”
Halsey reached their colleague and grasped his hand, shoving him away from the openings in the stage where fire was about explode out of before diving right into the chorus with a little giggle.
Fans were impressed with the performer’s quick thinking, calling them “literally mother” and “Such a queen.”
“THE PANIC!!!” another called out the look on Halsey’s face as they realized what was about to happen.
“I love how H is always looking out for crew and fans. They really are such a momfriend forever and always,” someone else observed, with another agreeing, “The mom friend even on stage 😂😂.”
“this is so funny to me like who else is saving their crew during a concert 💀💀 of course it’s Halsey,” another viewer said.
Plus, if there were any lip-syncing allegations, the video also served as “Proof [the] mic is always on 😌.”
