Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ex-girlfriend says she almost fainted when she learned about the similarities between Combs’ alleged sexual violence against her and his other ex-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.
The former girlfriend, who is testifying in Combs’ sex-trafficking trial under the name “Jane,” took the stand for the third day on Monday, June 9, sharing hours of testimony that mirrored Ventura’s from earlier on in the trial.
Ventura filed a lawsuit against Combs in November 2023 accusing him of a host of sex crimes, including forcing her to engage in sex acts with male escorts, coercing her into taking illicit drugs, raping and beating her.
Even though the lawsuit was settled the following day, it was followed by a series of accusations and lawsuits against Combs by several dozen people that he either sexually, physically, verbally or emotionally abused them.
As Combs’ trial entered its fifth week on Monday, Jane told the jury what she felt reading Ventura’s lawsuit and realizing many of the allegations had “a harrowing resemblance” to her own experience.
“I was bewildered. I was in shock,” she testified, adding that she took screenshots of three pages of the lawsuit.
Three days after Ventura filed the lawsuit, she had a phone conversation with Combs, a recording of which was played in court. The recording had been retrieved from Combs’ former chief of staff Kristina Khorram. (Jane told the court she did not record the call and was not aware it was being recorded).
During the call, Combs told Jane that “this was some kinky s**t that we both enjoyed,” apparently referencing the “hotel nights,” which Jane alleges entailed hours or sometimes days-long drug-fueled sex sessions where Combs forced her to perform sexual acts with male escorts.
“That’s not how I saw things,” she told Combs during one of the phone calls.
The “Hotel Nights” Jane testified about have remarkable similarities to “Freak Offs” Ventura recounted during her days-long testimony earlier in the trial.
Jane testified Combs allegedly coerced her into the activities and threatened to stop paying her rent if she did not participate. During her testimony, Ventura alleged Combs had blackmailed her with video tapes of “Freak Off” sessions.
Combs is on trial for sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution; he has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
