Early 2000s Singer and Songwriter, 54, Makes Rare Appearance and Fans Think He Aged ‘Like Fine Wine’ originally appeared on Parade.
Anyone who regularly watches The Kelly Clarkson Show knows that unexpected cameos are, well, to be expected. Ever since the the daytime talk show started incorporating “Cameo-oke” stars from all genres have shown up, but people were super excited to catch a rare glimpse of singer and songwriter James Blunt, performing his iconic 2004 hit “You’re Beautiful.”
While known for several other hits like “Goobye My Lover” and “High,” the hit that garnered him fame is one that transports people back in time; “You’re Beautiful is still beloved by fans. His “Cameo-oke” appearance proved he still has the chops to sing and play the heartful melodic song.
It also proved that he’s barely aged a day, the biggest change being his shorter locks.
“He needs to drop his skin care routine,” proclaimed one fan on TikTok.
“He’s still so handsome,” added another.

There were also plenty of comments on what a beautiful balled this song is, too; some even calling it “romantic.” Blunt himself slightly disagrees. He actually sees it as a more desperate song rather than an affectionate one.
“You get labeled with these things like, ‘Oh, James Blunt. Isn’t he just a soft romantic?’” he once told The Huffington Post. “Well, [redacted] that. No, I’m not. ‘You’re Beautiful’ is not this soft romantic [redacted] song. It’s about a guy who’s high as a [redacted] kite on drugs in the subway, stalking someone else’s girlfriend when that guy is there in front of him, and he should be locked up or put in prison for being some kind of perv.”
But that’s the best thing about good art: It’s up to you to interpret it. Regardless of the takeaway, fans are excited that Blunt is “back out there.”
“I’ve been waiting almost [eight] years to see him live again since he hasn’t toured in the US since 2017,” wrote one eager fan. “So excited to see him again!”
