’90s Movie Actress, 54, Is Literally Glowing in New Instagram Photo: ‘Absolutely Gorgeous’ originally appeared on Parade.
In the ’90s, Monica Potter was everywhere, starring in movies like Con Air and Patch Adams before playing Kristina Braverman in the iconic family drama Parenthood, which aired from 2010 to 2015.
Of course, a lot has changed since then — it’s been about 30 years (or more!) since some of her biggest movies hit theaters. But despite those changes and the fact that Potter is now 54 years old, she looks like not a day has passed.
In fact, the actress is literally glowing in a new selfie she shared on Instagram on Monday, and her fans can’t help but notice.

In the photo, Potter is facing the sun that’s streaming in through her window, and her blonde hair is shining. She looks gorgeous — and can we talk about how perfect her skin is?!
You’d never know that this post was actually to poke fun at her going through perimenopause, which is not always the most fun experience in the world, but definitely better if you can keep a good sense of humor about it like Potter is. In her caption, she wrote, “Embracing my 17th hot flash of the day…”
Commenters gushed over how beautiful she looks in the photo, with one person writing, “The heat obviously agrees with you because you look beautiful!”
Others who are also going through perimenopause took the opportunity to commiserate. One fan wrote, “I pretend I am my own personal sauna and believe that I am burning calories.”
This isn’t the first time that Potter has talked about her menopause experience. Last year, she revealed that she’s undergoing hormone replacement therapy to help minimize her symptoms.
