Country musician Clay Walker was no doubt one of the biggest stars of the 1990s. With number one hits including “Live Until I Die,” “This Woman and This Man,” “If I Could Make a Living,” and “Dreaming with My Eyes Open,” plenty of fans have loved his catchy tunes for decades.
Walker played a concert at the Pasadena Strawberry Festival in Texas on May 16th, and at first glance, you might do a double take after seeing him! Now 55 years old, he definitely looks different, but he still has his signature dreamy smile, and his vocals are clearly still on point.
Fans were totally blown away when he nailed a cover of the iconic Prince song, “Purple Rain.”
One person who watched the clip said, “This man never got the recognition and respect for his talent. He’s such a good artist.”
Another Walker fan added, “Clay Walker, such a legend and national treasure,” and someone else noted, “Clay Walker has always been able to sing everything. He just got tired of being told what to do by the evil music industry & stayed away from getting bigger than he already was because bigger fame comes with more pain 👍”

That statement is sad, but often rings true, unfortunately.
Walker also delighted fans with one of his biggest hits, “I Just Wanna Live Until I Die,” at the festival.
“Texas Royalty right here.”
He’s an absolutely classic country singer whose music will never go out of style!
