Ever since he first became a culinary superstar in 1999 with his BBC Two show The Naked Chef — and his bestselling cookbook of the same name — Jamie Oliver has been known for his casual, unfussy approach to making fresh, healthy food as delicious as possible. Now, nearly three decades later, the celeb chef is still turning home cooks on to nutritious foods — and his latest cookbook is exactly what hungry fans have been waiting for.
In a video shared to Instagram this week, Oliver announced the publication of his new cookbook, Eat Yourself Healthy, scheduled for release on September 11, 2025.
“I turn 50 this year, and my health has never been more important to me,” Oliver explained in the clip, which featured the chef making a savory vegetable soup with a side of ricotta toasts.

He went on to promise that his new book contains “all the knowledge and insights I’ve garnered over the years to help you own your own health journey through the most delicious and healthful foods.”
“It’s not about taking things away, it’s about boosting your meals with color, nutrients, and of course, loads of flavor,” Oliver explained.
Fans in the comments were thrilled to hear about the new book, with one writing, “Fabulous 🔥 Need to buy this cookbook very soon💝🤤.”
“That looks incredible! Can’t wait to get the book 🙌,” a second agreed, with someone else adding, “Yes please! 😍👏”
“Oh sounds like exactly what I need!” yet another fan declared.
In an interview with Good Housekeeping this spring, Oliver — a father of five — opened up about his passion for teaching kids (both his own and others) to appreciate healthy foods.
“When they were little, I made them help me wash all the veggies from the garden and wash salads,” he said. “And I’d get them using the salad spinner, which was really fun and making dressings. Then as they got a bit older, it would go into tacos and pizzas and doing their own toppings, giving them a sense of control. And of course, baking sweet treats. It’s about giving them that confidence.”
“My main advice is, don’t judge yourself on the minute or the hour or the day,” Oliver continued. “Just be consistent. You’re going to have days when they’re ungrateful and not empathetic, but you’re going to blink, and five years will pass, and they’ll smash a whole bowl of stir-fried veg or a chopped salad.”
