‘80s singing legend John Oates is full of surprises. The iconic performer, who split from longtime collaborator Daryl Hall in 2024, is on the road this summer giving fans a preview of his upcoming solo album, Oates, set to be released on August 29.
Oates headed to the mountains for a recent series of shows in Steamboat Springs and Lone Tree, Colorado, during which he collaborated with award-winning actor William H. Macy for an evening of “songs and stories.” Oates even brought the Fargo star onstage for a stunning encore in which the surprising duo sang “Get Together,” originally written and performed by The Youngbloods in 1969.
