Truly thought Lindsay Lohan had peaked when she blessed us with her forever iconic “This is how you throw a party in Mykonos, bitch!” video, but I think we can all agree that she has somehow managed to be even more iconic as of late. Like, not only did the legendary Parent Trap actor team up with Jamie Lee Curtis for a Freaky Friday sequel, but she and her husband Bader Shammas welcomed a baby boy in 2023.
And in case this is all 🤯 news to you because you literally had no idea LiLo was even dating (shame on you, tbh), both she and Bader have actually been together for a while. That said, Lindsay and Bader are pretty low-key about their romance, so the time has come to get to know him better via a casual internet deep dive.
Lindsay’s Husband Is an Investor and Financier
Per his LinkedIn, Bader began his career working for the investment bank BNP Paribas. He then spent three-and-a-half years in the Kuwait office (according to his private Facebook page, he’s actually from Kuwait originally) and six months in the Bahrain office before settling in Dubai. Lindsay herself lived in Dubai for over a decade, so she and Bader presumably met sometime in that window.
In Dubai, he shifted his focus from corporate banking to private wealth management. Then, after nearly five years with BNP Paribas, Bader started working for Credit Suisse, where he eventually became assistant vice president.
After leaving Credit Suisse at the end of 2021, Bader became a seed investor in Tecoda, the first-to-market hard seltzer made from fermented agave. He also invested in and serves as a board member for FLUUKY, a Bahrain-based start-up that supports reforestation programs through luxury auctions.
He Went to School in Florida
According to his LinkedIn, Bader got degrees in mechanical engineering and finance at the University of South Florida and the University of Tampa.
He and Lindsay Have Been Dating Forever
Lindsay’s rep confirmed to E! News in November 2021 that, at the time, the couple had been together for three full years—aka eight years as of now—which I think we can all agree is a lifetime for celebs.
They Got Married in April 2022
However! The news didn’t break until Lindsay herself spilled the beans in July 2022 by way of a simultaneous birthday tribute to her “husband.” S’cute!

On top of Lindsay’s younger brother Dakota commenting, “My best friends!!!” on her engagement pic, we also know Lindsay’s sister Aliana has spent time with Bader. LiLo herself a photo of them together back in February 2020 with the caption “@aliana lovely night with sister and my boyfriend Bader such a magical night.”
She’s since deleted the pic, but trust! It was cute!
Lindsay Recently Celebrated Bader’s Birthday
Yep, back on June 17, the actor posted the sweetest tribute to him in honor of the special day. Ahem:

They Welcomed a Baby Together in July 2023
Yep, you read that right! The couple welcomed their baby boy just about two years ago. His actual name is Luai, which means “shield or protector” in Arabic. He was born in Dubai, though his exact birth date hasn’t been made public.
