Isabelle Huppert, 72, stunned fans in a bright acid-green fringed gown on Sunday at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival on May 18.
The iconic French actress, known for award-winning films Elle and The Piano Teacher, walked the red carpet sporting a bold horsehair Balenciaga design. Huppert is a global ambassador for the luxury fashion line.
Huppert was present for the premiere of Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme, which debuted at the festival.
Paired with her green gown, Huppert wore jewelry, which included earrings, a silver necklace, and a statement ring, from the South African–British diamond brand De Beers. Her short auburn hair and smokey-eye makeup perfectly complemented the look.
All praise to her stylist, Jonathan Huguet!
Fans of the actress commented their love on a post from the Instagram account @checkthetag, which posts celebrity red carpet looks.
“Love the styling,” commented @cdaraphael.
“Never not stunningly fabulous 💚💚💚,” wrote @lageorgea.
Though Huppert is not in Anderson’s newest production, she has worked with the director in the past on the 2009 film Fantastic Mr. Fox, where she voiced the character Greta the Goose.
Huppert, who was ranked second on The New York Times list of greatest actors of the 21st century, has won a BAFTA, a Golden Globe, five 5 Lumière Awards, as well as multiple César Awards and wins at the Cannes and Venice film festivals. She is the most-nominated actress of the César Awards.
