What To Wear to a Baseball Game: 7 Best Outfits, According to a Celebrity Stylist
1. Factor in Pinstripes
“Pinstripes are iconic in baseball, so this outfit naturally fits the setting,” Kim says. “The loose, breezy silhouette is ideal for hot summer days. This outfit stands out because it merges sporty and casual with just the right amount of femininity. It’s lightweight, timeless, and gives off effortless, game-day-ready vibes while remaining super wearable beyond the ballpark.”
As far as any additional styling goes, Kim says, “The only things I would suggest adding is a cotton denim jacket that you can tie around your waist to ground the look and then a cap in your team’s color for some sun protection and added flair.”

2. Dress Up a Varsity Jacket
“This look gives a nod to sports culture without being overly casual,” Kim notes. “I also like that it’s layered, yet breathable for unpredictable stadium weather. The varsity jacket is great because it brings that classic sporty spirit into the outfit in a polished way with an unexpected touch from the leather slingback shoe. If I were to add anything to it, maybe I’d add a cotton scarf that’s the team colors so it could be tied at the neck for an elevated preppy twist. Chunky gold earrings would also be nice to add to bring some brightness and frame to someone’s face as well.”

3. Channel Simplicity
“I love how clean, crisp and unfussy this is,” Kim tells Parade. “It’s an outfit that speaks with minimal effort. Something like this cotton tank top is ideal for warm-weather games where breathability and lightness is key. I’m a big proponent of 100% cotton tanks during the summertime because they are so easy to care for. Plus, if you end up getting some game-day food or a beverage spilled on you, the good news is, cotton doesn’t trap odors like other fabrics do.”
To add a bit more style to this fit, Kim suggests just adding one accessory.
“I’d add a bucket hat to give the look a little bit more edge fashion wise.”

4. Be Sporty Chic
“I like how this outfit mixes athletic and feminine details with the pearls and lace skirt, which makes it stand out,” Kim states. “It’s ideal for someone who wants to feel put-together, but stay comfortable because the oversized sporty silhouette makes it easy to move in, while still keeping some refined touches with a necklace, skirt and bag.”
“As a stylist, I’d add pearl earrings to double down and match the necklace,” he continues. “The bold black sunglasses are already working in the look, but I think pairing them with a cotton baseball cap in a neutral or team color would add function and even more style.”

5. Opt for Plaid
“I like that this outfit has layers and a grunge-inspired plaid shirt mixed with a kind of streetwear ease and vibe, it’s interesting,” Kim shares. “I’d add something like an oversized black hoodie to make the look a little more interesting and cohesive for a baseball game.”

6. Layer in the Team’s Color
“I like that this look strikes the perfect balance between sophistication and team spirit,” Kim reveals. “The red jacket and shoes are the focal point, while the gold accessories elevate the ensemble.”
He adds, “This outfit is great for fans who want to support their team without going full jersey mode. It reads polished enough for a pre-game or post-game, but still functional and breathable enough for hours in the stands. I’d just add a lightweight shirt tied around the waist to complete it. This would add layering interest and warmth when the sun sets. I would also swap out the clutch for a cotton canvas tote in neutral tones to provide a younger, cooler vibe. In addition, a cotton canvas tote would be good because it’s durable, not precious, and easy to wash after a game too.”

7. Be Casual and Cool
“What I like most about this outfit is the contrast and sporty edge it gives off,” Kim tells Parade. ‘The red cropped tank with pops and has a retro baseball jersey vibe, while the tailored black trousers elevate the look with a clean, structured feel. It’s a perfect choice for a baseball game because it’s comfortable, stylish, and team-spirited without being over the top.”
When styling it, Kim says he’d add a trendy shoe. “I’d style it with something like a flip flop or sandal, which is quite trendy right now, would be nice to complete the look without overdoing it.
