It’s lightweight, timeless, and gives off effortless, game-day-ready vibes while remaining super wearable beyond the ballpark.”
As far as any additional styling goes, Kim says, “The only things I would suggest adding is a cotton denim jacket that you can tie around your waist to ground the look and then a cap in your team’s color for some sun protection and added flair.”

2. Dress Up a Varsity Jacket
“This look gives a nod to sports culture without being overly casual,” Kim notes. “I also like that it’s layered, yet breathable for unpredictable stadium weather. The varsity jacket is great because it brings that classic sporty spirit into the outfit in a polished way with an unexpected touch from the leather slingback shoe. If I were to add anything to it, maybe I’d add a cotton scarf that’s the team colors so it could be tied at the neck for an elevated preppy twist. “I’d add a bucket hat to give the look a little bit more edge fashion wise.”

“As a stylist, I’d add pearl earrings to double down and match the necklace,” he continues. “The bold black sunglasses are already working in the look, but I think pairing them with a cotton baseball cap in a neutral or team color would add function and even more style.”

“I like that this outfit has layers and a grunge-inspired plaid shirt mixed with a kind of streetwear ease and vibe, it’s interesting,” Kim shares. “I’d add something like an oversized black hoodie to make the look a little more interesting and cohesive for a baseball game.”

It reads polished enough for a pre-game or post-game, but still functional and breathable enough for hours in the stands. I’d just add a lightweight shirt tied around the waist to complete it. This would add layering interest and warmth when the sun sets. I would also swap out the clutch for a cotton canvas tote in neutral tones to provide a younger, cooler vibe. In addition, a cotton canvas tote would be good because it’s durable, not precious, and easy to wash after a game too.”
