And while Alexa Ray has followed in her dad’s footsteps as a performer — even joining him on stage on various occasions — the little ones seem to have also been bitten by the singing bug. Back in 2018, when she was just 3 years old, Della Rose joined Dad on stage at Madison Square Garden just before Christmas in an adorable holiday outfit.

And in keeping with tradition, Billy Joel was joined by both of his daughters five years later, just before Christmas.

End of an Era

And when it was time to say goodbye to his historic Madison Square Garden residency on July 25, 2024, it was only fitting that Della Rose and Remy Anne were there to celebrate.

As Billy Joel began his 1978 hit “My Life,” the two sat on his piano and waved to the audience — though it wasn’t long before Della Rose got down onto the stage and even joined Dad on the mic to sing along.

As a performer herself, Alexa Ray has joined dad on stage on various occasions including this April 2024 Madison Square Garden show.

The Three of Us

Though Joel and Brinkley divorced in 1994, they remained friends over the years and have supported one another. In 2010, the two joined their daughter at the premiere of Last Play At Shea during the Tribeca Film Festival.

Years later, Alexa Ray later shared the photo on Instagram writing, “Mom and Pop…🕊you will always be, first and foremost, the true loves of my life. Just seeing you in the same room together every once in awhile makes my heart whole again, if only for a fleeting moment.”
