Listen, not every movie has to be Citizen Kane or Casablanca or Bride Wars. There’s room in every moviegoing life for silly action-thrillers, sappy romances and comedies that may or may not have been literally made for children. Sure, they’re not winning any Oscars, but you’ll never walk out of a Mr. Bean movie having had a bad time.
Some movies, however, just have no redeeming value. They’re not well written, directed or acted, but they’re not bad enough to be fun, and they don’t even feature a series of increasingly absurd pratfalls.
