Charles Melton
Melton wore a prosthetic in a sex scene with Natalie Portman in their film May December.
“There were a few conversations about the prosthetic, regarding what was realistic and what wasn’t,” the Riverdale star told Variety in December 2023. “I had to wear that prosthetic for nine hours that day. I didn’t have anything to drink that morning or the night before. That was an annoying process but still very respectful.”
Jason Isaacs
After Isaacs’ full-frontal scene in the fourth episode of Season 3 of The White Lotus, the actor’s junk was the talk of the town; however, Isaacs stayed mum on the topic.
“I think Jason wants the world to think that that’s him, and so he doesn’t want to admit that it’s a prosthetic,” series creator Mike White told The Hollywood Reporter. “That is my two cents.”

Eric Dane
The Grey’s Anatomy alum, who portrays Cal Jacobs on Euphoria, opened up about wearing a prosthetic in a full-frontal scene.
“Those scenes are very difficult to shoot. It helps to have one voice in your ear. One voice that you can express your feelings to, and somebody that is an advocate for the actors,” he explained to Entertainment Weekly in June 2019. “It just simplifies a lot of things and makes for a safe and comfortable environment while shooting something that is fairly uncomfortable to shoot. And certainly, the stuff that we did in the pilot is no exception. It’s a pretty intense scene.”
Tom Pelphrey
For a scene in Netflix’s A Man in Full, in which Pelphrey’s character has a full-frontal scene in which his man bits stand at full attention, the actor previously explained the process of choosing the prosthetic while chatting with Variety in 2024.
“It was more the conversation about exactly what we want this prosthetic to be,” he explained. “There was a terrifying moment where part of the fitting process, as described to me, involved a lot of hot wax, which scared the hell out of me. And we were luckily able to avoid it.”
The actor added: “There was a lot of work, a lot of meetings, a lot of talking, a lot of fittings, went into that prosthetic.”
Chris Hemsworth
Though he didn’t appear in the nude while sporting a 10-inch prosthetic penis in the movie Vacation, Hemsworth still wore one.
“The morning we shot that sequence, we went into another room in the house we were shooting in, and Chris modeled the eight-inch and the 10-inch options for us,” director John Francis Daley previously told Vulture, adding that the smaller one had to be tossed out. “As big as it would seem, it did not look that big on him. I think it was just because Chris is such a big, hulking dude.”
Terrence Terrell
Obliterated creators Josh Heald and Jon Hurwitz confirmed that Terrell wore a prosthetic in his NSFW scenes in the series.
“We would never put Terrence in that situation. There was a lot of manhandling and prodding. And it’s not just Terrence but also Tobias [Jelinek], who plays the sadistic Ehren, he has a lot of interaction with Trunk’s situation,” Heald told Deadline in 2023. “The attitude was always to make sure that was a prosthetic and that we weren’t asking somebody to be put in that vulnerable situation.”
Theo James
For a scene in Season 2 of The White Lotus, James donned a faux member when he dropped his pants in front of his character Cameron’s friend’s wife Harper (Aubrey Plaza).
“The truth of it was you go into these things and you have a conversation with the director and the producers, and they go, ‘OK, for this, we’re going to use a prosthetic, we’re gonna use something,’” James told host Jimmy Fallon during a 2022 appearance on The Tonight Show. “It’s a pee-pee prosthetic. … [I told the makeup artist that] I wanted it not to be distracting. He needs to be [a] regular Joe because the scene’s not about the pee-pee, it’s about power play in sex [and] whether he did it deliberately or whether it was an accident.”

Taylor Zakhar Perez
The Red, White and Royal Blue actor previously opened up about wearing a prosthetic while his character posed for a centerfold in HBO’s Minx.
“I’m all for it. If the project and the scenes call for it, why not?” he told Entertainment Weekly in February 2022. “But I think just to throw a bare-chested woman or ass-out guy into the scene without it making sense, then it’s gratuitous and takes away from the quality of the content. But I think when my mom sees it is when I will be a little freaked out.”
Adam Scott
Scott sported a fake ween for a scene in The Overnight, in which he bared everything. The Severance star opened up about the experience while speaking to GQ in 2015 in a profile titled “Adam Scott Answers All Our Questions About His Tiny Prosthetic Penis.”
“It’s easier. But it’s weird because, other than the prosthetic, I am naked,” he said at the time. “And the prosthetic looks real. So for all intents and purposes I am naked, and everyone is seeing me naked. That’s what a naked person looks like. Like, exactly what a naked person looks like.”
Will Poulter
In We’re the Millers, Poulter’s character gets bitten in the balls by a spider. He explained to Metro in 2013 that the fitting process was an interesting one.
“[Putting it on] was a bit of a trial,” he said. “I got intimate with a very talented man called Tony who saw a lot more of me than what I care to show anyone else… I’m not sure it is that brave. I mean, it’s not exactly a tough day at the office.”
Daniel Radcliffe
The Harry Potter actor opened up about wearing a prosthetic penis in Guns Akimbo while chatting with MTV News in 2019.
Noting that he didn’t have a say in choosing the piece, Radcliffe added that it was “very much a case of, ‘Here’s the one we have, we don’t have another, you good?’”
